Google Chrome Themer's kit - DOWNLOAD

Chrome themer's kit by EdeBoii - Download ( this kit has fifty more images but for instructions read the attached readme of this post )

U will need the default.dll file from this directory on ur computer.

for Vista : x:\Users\*Username*\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\0.2.149.27\Themes\

for XP : x:\Documents and Settings\*Usename*\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\0.2.149.27\Themes\

or u can use the one I supplied in the zip. Now open the default.dll with Reshacker. And follow the instruction given in the readme.txt in the zip file.

If u want to skin the start page, u need to go into this directory of ur local Chrome installation

\Chrome\Application\0.2.149.27\Resources\Inspector\Images

and edit the image files.

Enjoy !!

[p.s: Its a very painful process. So lets see who comes up with the first theme of Google Chrome. Good news is every aspect of it can be themed and transparency can be built in coz it uses a png-based theming engine. So if themers get on to this we will have some amazing themes. It was a clever piece of code from Google, though it makes themer's work a lot tedious ]

i believe i shall make a small theme swapper app. dont know about previews, but i can make it easy for the users to change themes though.

It won't do transparency for XP. I tried saving the .png as 1 color and alpha based. neither worked
Still... bring on the cool themes!

I found the sides using Game Extractor to extract all .pngs from the .dll

Hey,
I've noticed on most themes the bookmark bar is the same. How do we/you replace this?

I would like one that goes with the dark/PitchBlack theme. I can create one if shown which file to replace.
Ive tried 2 files that look right, these are 9022 and 9378 (i think lol), but either im not doing it correctly or theyre not the right ones!!

Please advise/help me,

I think it is 9202 for the bookmarks bar background
