Desktops allows you to organize your applications on up to four virtual desktops. Read email on one, browse the web on the second, and do work in your productivity software on the third, without the clutter of the windows you’re not using.

Microsoft already had a virtual desktop manager called, Virtual Desktop Manager (part of Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP). But Desktops is Vista compatible and a tiny executable file which can be run in a USB flash drive. And it offers a wide range of keyboard shortcuts to choose from.

Junk. Aero only displays correctly on the first window. How do you even quit the application?? I had to force it to quit through task mgr.

I'm about to do a System Recovery, but I'll download it when it gets done.
Probably won't be near as good as Spaces on Leopard, though.

It seems that Operating Systems now are really copying one feature from the other.

You can even make one look like the other.

Why won't they just all start from a kernel like what those Linux distros use or the kernel which is still under heavy development by Microsoft.

I hope in the near future we can see Microsoft Linux and Apple Linux. ;)

Well, everyone does it. Stardock had their dock well before Apple had theirs in OS X.

At any rate--this needs some work for all the reasons already mentioned. This works much, much better.

The only virtual desktop I've ever used is Yod'm 3D.
