In about two weeks, Redmond has managed to turn a marketing idea into something that may just shock you. Microsoft blogger Ina Fried is reporting that Microsoft managed to trick XP users in San Francisco into loving Vista simply by telling them a small fib. The company told these users that they were using a new version of Windows, codenamed "Mojave." When asked about their experience with using Mojave, over 90 percent said they were impressed with what they saw. Then Microsoft told them they had been using Vista all along.

I saw this earlier.

This could be a powerful weapon against Apple's "Get A Mac" lies.

I read half the people said they didn't care for Vista.... Even when they never even tried it.

I read it on Cnet:

Vista has really established itself as a strong OS. If people forget about the hiccups faced prior to the SP1 then everyone would be liking Vista.

I don't see too much wrong with vista. It is just that were used to xp and we don't want to fork out more money for another os. And if we do some of us have to update hardware which could cost hundreds more than just the os.

Ah, very cool indeed! Kind of like a placebo to get rid of previous prejudice against the OS...

It reminded me of an ad/parody that went something like this...
Ladies, and gentlemen, which cup is more tasty, Cup Chemicals or Cup Miracle?

Coca-Cola testers: OMG the Miracle one!!!

Guess ... what? The Miracle cup's Coke!!! It's just your average Coca-Cola! And yes, the Chemical cup's just filled with chemicals... from the sewage! Betcha couldn't tell the difference!

This article deserves a big LOL !!!

However, people keep exaggerating those "hiccups" prior to SP1. If it weren't for those Vista RTM bashers, then everybody would be loving it.

i've loved vista since i upgraded last year. it does take a little getting used to with the pop-ups asking for permissions but overall i enjoy the experience.

Actually at my first try with vista. I never liked it but as time goes by, I started to like it. and will be liking it until windws 7 comes.

I haven't seen BSOD though I'm not saying there are no chances of BSOD appearing on vista not like with xp which appears on an average of once per month in my pc.
