DeskOnTop is a free program that resides in the system tray and provides access to your desktop files and folders by popping up a mini-representation of the desktop in the system tray. Alternately, it can also provide a start menu style list of all your desktop items.

Download from here (EXE) or here (ZIP archive)

Source: Shuric via Freewaregenius

The app consumes approx 8 MB of RAM.

Its useless to you...why do you continue posting about it?

Flip3D is cute, but almost useless if you have a ton of apps open.

Win+D defeats the purpose, if you dont want your apps minimized.

well, if u right-click on task-bar and go to
Toolbars>Desktop , u can have the startmenu style menu.

But yeah having a popup to actually "SHOW" ur desktop is better

Not bad, and 8 MB of usage isn't much.

Here is an oldie (released in 1996!!!) that does exactly the same but with less fuss: Topdesk by Snadboy

http://kcblog.multip.../reviews/item/2

(I suggest that you change the animated tray icon on the Properties, Icon tab. You might as well use the 32 pixel icons ;) )

Have fun!

I think this quick mini-representation is quite useful.

It's kind of useless, but it's one of those features that's nice to have around. :)
