Today is June 30, the last day of Windows XP's life. From tomorrow Microsoft will stop distributing Windows XP as a stand-alone product, as well as stop licensing it to PC manufacturers like Dell, HP, Lenovo, and others.
But June 30 is not the end of Windows XP support. This old operating system will be supported until early April 2014, and you will see some ULPC devices with XP preinstalled until June 2010.
Do you agree with the decision of Microsoft to stop selling Windows XP anymore?

XP Epica:
Our times have grown weary, one in our faction may die today. We shall miss this brave warrior, he has struggled to bring peace to nations, and togetherness to our hearts. We shall miss XP, We must embrace the future, and show we can always live on in prosperity... That is what XP would have wanted... It's many security holes were badges of war, to show us we must struggle if we want to maintain stability, joy, and even greatness! A disturbing time this is, we must not overwhelm ourselves with unnatural emotions... Tonight, our psalm is for you XP... Our hero...

M$'s finally stopped listening to the ever-decreasing portion of those conformers... at least all manpower can focus on proving that the "new" makes its predecessor the "old".
And they better hurry.
No delays for 7, M$!

Gates gone for 3 days and XP is now on full Life Support.
I agree with MS taking it of new PCs giving Vista a chance to show it's true power over XP with SP1 and more fixes. I'm just worried... well not really worried... wondering what's going to happen to MS in the future.
I hope Windows 7 turns out looking like that touch screen OS that that guy was using on Bill Gates tribute video. That was kindof cool how it worked. I like the liquid transition effects.
XP was great! Will Vista be able to do the same as XP did?
Let's hope not in some cases. I hope Vista will run better than XP ever did, but I want Microsoft for now on to release OSes that come out better than the predecessor in all areas. Guess we will have to wait and see if MS will do it or another will take over

I don't agree 100%... but it is time to move on, people did the same thing when they stopped supporting Windows 9X....
XP is an amazing OS, but as the saying goes "All Good Things Come To An End"
We will probably be seeing the same thread in 3 or 4 years for Vista when "Windows 7" comes out....
And thats the way the cookie crumbles

Give Vista till SP2, then XP will be forgotten like a bad memory. It took XP until SP2 for people to start truly loving it. The important thing to keep in mind is that at this stage in the game, Vista has seen less problems than XP did during its maturation period.
