Posted ImagexDesk 2 : A Dream for Windows Users...

Ok, so a LOT of people want Windows Dreamscene it seems...
and not everyone has Ultimate Edition. Or even worse yet, a Lot of XP users feel left out in the cold...

Enter Solo's xDesk2.

It will allow you to play movie files (mpg, avi, mov, etc...) as your wallpaper.

it is XP and Vista compatible.

Leave comments, and have fun, ok?

NOTE: This is my first ever app that I have made that is NOT freeware, it is Donation ware.

That means that if you like it, PLEASE consider donating to me, just send me an email asking me how to do so.
"Why have I done this", your probably asking, "He always releases free ware..."

I have a 1 and a 1/2 year old Son that I love very much, and I pay for child support. Well, I am unemployed, and this is a way for me to support him while I look for a job.

So Please, any donation will be appreciated.

Well, works well and stuff but I stopped using Dreamscene (the hacked one for Home Edition) a while back. Would be nice if you could select a folder to browse and select the videos from though.

I've tried to install this and it keeps saying my system files are out of date, so I let the setup update them, restart and then run it again but it does exactly the same thing

I don't use video wallpapers but I'll definitely give it a try to this DreamScene community app. :)

ok, i will release a self-installing web .exe file that will download only the minimal files, and you can see if it will run them. I am using the old vb6 original runtime files, not the latest servicepack. that could be the reason for the headaches.

AMAZING! it works!! :woot:
iv tryd evrything and iv spend hours to get the vista patch/hack to work.. and now i downloaded this, a simple installation, and it works :D and there are more options on this one :P 9/10 the last missing point is becuse the real DreamScene on vista pauses if you go to fullscreen...

but theres one thing, when i play the movie on the deskop, il get black "stripes" (as if u wach a movie in vlc) on the bottom and the top of the screen, eaven if i play real dreamscene videos  ... (im using a widescreen)

okey, i think i know what i did wrong, i didn't have the movies in the right resoulution. i think...

now i just need more good dreamscene like videos :) , anyone knows wher you can download it free??

I like it but you worked on something which is already available for free without any bugs. I'm using AndreasV's Desktop Effects for the same purpose.

Where do the desktop icons go when you start playing video?

Good, but... it still cannot play .dream files, which is mostly what I've spent my time downloading.

This is a replacement of DreamScene, not Deskscape.

if you have dreamscene, then go rummaging in the files folder, and you will find the extracted .mpeg video. copy that, and you can use it with the program.
