Here are some of the new features:
* Install Ubuntu from within Windows using Wubi
* Updated Linux kernel and new versions of Gnome and KDE desktops, with the option of using KDE 3.5 or KDE 4 as the default desktop for Kubuntu
* Virtualization software built into the kernel
* New softwares: New BitTorrent Client, New VNC client, Firefox 3 beta

yeah, lots of people seem to have a problem with them using firefox 3 b5, but since this is a LTS release, that way when 3 is fully out, it is just a simple update, instead of having to remove 2 and install 3.

Ok, I agree that Ubuntu is superior to Windows, but far as stability goes, Windows is much more stable...

First time I've heard that one. Stability isn't a factor for superiority ;)

Guys, remember - you can only upgrade from an Alternate CD! I learned it the hard way... :(

The best feature is inbuilt Wubi, a Windows-based installer that puts Ubuntu on the same partition as the Windows partition! :D
