This paper analyzes the vulnerability disclosures and security updates for the first year of Windows Vista and looks at it in the context of its predecessor, Windows XP, along with other modern workstation operating systems Red Hat, Ubuntu and Apple products.

This report is an update to the previously published Windows Vista 90-Day Vulnerability Report and Windows Vista 6-Month Vulnerability Report. However, since one year is a more informative time frame, this report contains the results of a deeper level of analysis.

Haha. I was going to say that too. This post seems empty without a 'Vista sucks!' or 'Vista is for littel boys and girls!' or 'XP better and more secure than Vista' line.....

Does that mean Vista is safer than MAC? Or simply that it had less stuff to fix in one year...?

The last.

One thing that doesn't surprise me, is that Ubuntu got less unfixed vulnerabilities than Vista (or XP).

This reports indicate that Vista is definitely better than other operating systems at least in some fields.

Banned.

What does it matter? Do we really need more uninformed, biased, and ignorant bashings of Vista?
