For those who haven't yet downloaded SP1 - Install it through Window Update. It's only 65 MB!

BinaryChaos, I don't think so, but if you have an .ISO of Windows Vista, it MAY be possible.

thorden, This will depend on the speed of your internet, may make 1hr and 30 mins max, but a good connection, about 45 mins

Ok, i'm getting it now, but it's like 121.5MB and not 65MB. I think it's because of the 36 languages.

Yes you can slipstream sp1 using Vlite. I read the slipstream part is still in Beta, but i didn't hear much complaints about it. You can get it at www.vlite.net

It keeps saying it didn't install successfully, then reverts the changes. :(

Did you use Vlite to shrink your install disk? Coz sp1 won't install on a Vista installation that is shrunk by Vlite. But now you can slipstream sp1 in Vista using Vlite.

In one way, yes (Still Service Pack 1)
In the other, No (has an extra 31 languages)

But all the general experience of SP1 is the same

But the 36 Languages pack is ideal for Windows Vista Ultimate Customers as they are 'usually' the people who need these as they can change their language.

Best to go with the 5 Languages if your en-us or en-uk as its English

Anywhere else should go for the 36 languages to cover their backs
