Microsoft and Dell teamed up to manufacture and sell (PRODUCT) RED PC with Windows Vista Ultimate signature product running at the power of (RED), where every single PRODUCT (RED) product sold will have part of the proceed donates to The Global Fund to fight and eliminate AIDS in Africa.

Best thing is Windows Vista Ultimate (PRODUCT) RED that comes with several (RED)-themed customizations, including six new desktop wallpapers, a new screen saver, two new Windows Sidebar gadgets, and a new Windows DreamScene.

Unfortunately, the Dell XPS PRODUCT (RED) systems only went on sales in US. For those located out of continent, probably it’s hard to get Windows Vista Ultimate PRODUCT (RED) signature edition. But there is no difference apart from the items included.

If you very like the beauty of PRODUCT (RED) visual theme to appear in your Windows Vista system, it’s possible to download the PRODUCT (RED) wallpapers, gadgets, screen saver and DreamScene to make the existing normal Windows Vista system looks exactly like and has same visual effect with the Dell PRODUCT (RED) PC.

The customizations done in PRODUCT (RED) edition of Windows Vista has been extracted and packaged into a .zip file and make available for free download.

With the site, you had to download all the difference archives to create the package, but I have already downloaded them and put them into one .zip file. I have also included a README file to tell you where the files have to go

Update:

You may have realised that the Clock (RED), the clockr.gadget does not has a ’second’ moving hand, the pointer that jumps every second to reflect the current time accurate to second.

For users who love to see a second hand on the clock face, there is a hack to add the second hand to the PRODUCT (RED) clock gadget in sidebar.

(Time for some programming, do not blame me for any mishaps when doing this, but it does work fine)

Download and install PRODUCT(RED) clockr.gadget clock Sidebar gadget.

Open Windows Explorer, and then copy and paste the following path to the address bar:
%UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\clockr.gadget\en-US\js

Right click on settings.js, and then select Edit.

Under the section of

function ClockSettings()

, locate the following line of code:

this.secondsEnabled = false;

Modify the line to the following by changing “false” to “true” so it looks like this:

this.secondsEnabled = true;

Save the modified file.
Close the clock gadget, and then restart the gadget (re-add to Windows Sidebar) for the change to take effect. After activating again, the second hand will appear on clock face as shown in illustration.

I think something is missing because the theme doesn't work... there is no msstyle file... only a .theme..

I have realised this, I the .theme is the DELL Product (RED) preset and is not really needed
It may be though useful for anyone wanted to make a theme out of this

I had always been opposing the distribution of the Vista Product (Red) theme contents, because this red theme was meant for charity. But when Dell itself is providing the contents to the people and more over this Product (Red) PC isn't available outsite US, I feel no hesitation in downloading them.
