EzPCX that build wasn't released for the users. It's only for testing.

Ribbon UI..?? I wanna see that :D

Microsoft must get rid off that "orb" from the start button

I AGREE! :D

Something good in it's place instead! Unfortunately, I hear Microsoft will get rid of the Start Menu in 7 completely!

nah, the start menu will be there no matter what. If you don't realize it, the start menu is one of microsoft's biggest achievements.

remember back in the good ol' windows 95 days? everybody would be like "CLICK HERE TO BEGIN, YO"

anyway, I like vista's start menu. Heck, I like XP's start menu too. And I like the orb they used for the start button...why do you guys hate it so much? I think the start orb is a nice touch!

Simply fake, this is 500% not windows 7

What makes you think its fake and not real.I think it looks real because i seen lots of pictures of Windows 7(Vienna/Blackcomb).

It's still way to early to speculate pretty much anything about "Windows 7".

NOW THAT'S FUNNY! No wonder your called "comedy_guy"!!!

But seriously, I don't hate the orb, I hate what it represents. I just feel the Start Menu is starting to outlive it's time.
My opinion though... I guess having a dock changed my entire opinion of how an OS should work. Though still a Vista fanboy, I choose not to have any electronic, if not physical, contact with the Start Menu. Respectively. :D

I expect Windows 7 to be something revolutionary. I am sick of all the taskbars the menus all that junk. I want a big orb in the middle of the screen you press it and all your menus and datas come out. Something like that.

If 7 will be anything close to those screenshots they will loose a Microsoft follower and I will be jumping straight in to Mac's wagon :).

I think that I can safely say that most of us want this for Windows 7 :)

To clear up any confusion:

Milestone 1 is just a few minor patches.

Milestone 2 is the new user interface.

Milestone 3 is... some other stuff, I dunno what. Probably applies MinWin.

True, but Microsoft never released it.

Let's just hope that Microsoft takes advantage of Longhorn and Vista and put's them together like this or better

I really like the beta that AeroXperience made for Vista.

I would like to see MS take this project and go wild with it and work on the System Requirements so that they are not to high for Windows 7.

Longhorn never made it to a stable enough release to even be considered in the same boast as OS X, or better. Too many people judge OSes by how pretty they are...

I tried that wanna be Longhorn Explorer.

Not impressed, especially since its just an overlay, and if you move your task bar, it doesn't.

Its slow, and on top of that, most of the cool looking features don't even work.
