I've just started using it. It's working quite well and I think I'll keep on using it.

hi

Is it normal for this to use 66,300K of my memory?

I mean i havent even done anything with it, i just loaded the software and i happened to have my task manager open and saw that amount!

in comparison with another program like yours "Switcher" uses 4500K, which lead me to believe that there must be something wrong on my system.

Please help!!

It is absolutely abnormal !!! Typically it should use 12mb when u load and 18mb when u expose windows.
The maximum is 30mb , and that is if it caches screenshots in ur physical memory ( typically , it caches captures in the video memory . If u dont have enough video memory then only it goes to physical memory )

In all comps I have seen , I never saw it use more than 30mb.

when so many things are in consideration then I cant tell u about what is going wrong !!! In customized desktop environments it is impossible to predict !!!

I think this prob gets solved on itself. :(

[p.s: "Switcher" actually cant be called an expose clone. No offence meant to anyone . Plz dont get me wrong  And it requires DWM !!]

I got it to work with my dual monitors by turning off live preview. But it would be great if the program can use both monitors to tile the windows (like switcher).

I have dual monitors as well and would like it to use the space of both. That way when it restores the windows to get screenshots before reminimizing them, I wouldn't see the restore versions on the other monitor.

Also, with some programs (Excel, for instance), when it reminimizes windows that were minimized, the file I selected is also minimized. Basically, Excel has an odd interface with files - if two or more Excel files are open, DExposE2 won't show both, just one of them, and if I select it, or the other one, they both end up minimized in a big Excel gray field. :(

I have multiple monitors and the background for my second overlaps on my first when i go into expose mode. Also, is it supposed to maximize the minimized windows to grab a screenshot from them for the expose mode? It really creates a freeze right beforehand.

Did a portable version just now !!

Link : Download Portable Version

Has various new optimizations and some minor bug-fixes . So people wary of installing can now try a portable thing !! ;)

Upload the portable Version somewhere else. Aqua-Soft requires registration for downloading the file.
