Microsoft has launched a new site UltimatePC.com for Windows Vista Ultimate customers. It’ll deliver new “Ultimate Exclusives” which will work together with Ultimate Extras.

Whereas Ultimate Extras are add-ons that extend certain OS capabilities, Ultimate Exclusives provide Windows Vista Ultimate customers with unique products and services at special discounts to enhance the computing experiences and enable users to do more with their PC.

Note that Ultimate Exclusives are not going to replace Ultimate Extras.

Here are what was on the list of hints for forthcoming Ultimate Extras:
  • A New original game
  • Enhancements to Movie Maker and DVD Maker
  • DreamScene experiences
  • A Few New Screen savers
  • New sound schemes

Microsoft is still working on Ultimate Extras and they have a plan to deliver more new Ultimate Extras in coming year.

The Windows team is launching UltimatePC.com with three Ultimate Exclusives:

* EVGA: Great deals on EVGA e-GeForce 8800 series graphics cards to enhance your gaming
* Pinnacle Systems: Exciting offers on consumer video editing software and HD TV products
* Stardock Systems: Promotional pricing on Stardock Multiplicity for Multi-PC control

Vista Ultimate users: Are you interested in these kinds of Exclusives and Extras? What would you like to see Microsoft provide to make you feel as though you got true bang for your Ultimate buck?

I'm sure I read somewhere that the Extra's was going to be so much more than what has been delivered so far. I feel kinda let down with the whole Ultimate Extra's section, it's not like we're getting a great deal extra.

I'd like to see new themes, and new games etc.

They should have made a separate package and sell it to everyboby instead of being Ultimate only.... in the long run it would hve been more $$$$ for MS

Vista ultimate just isnt worth it, i mean a few games whooptydoo cant live without that, even though it will get ripped then anyone can play :S

im really glad i sold vista ultimate and got business edition.

imo> business and home premium are the best editions, all ultimate extras can be gotten for free in many alternative ways...

I don't use a legal copy of windows, so I don't care what version do I install next time lol
the next time I'll insall the ultimate version and check out the new extras, right now the business edition is working too good (sp1 incl.) and I will not format my hdd and install ultimate just to check something out.
