:(

1. I am currently using Zonealarm fire wall minus Pro. Initialy I felt god about that but sems it have some limitations and drawbacks. How i will remove a program allowed earlier permanatly to access internet and trusted zone ? No updates are found for last 2 months. Please advise me the best free firewall from this list.
It will be nice someone from this forum give some teachings on this issue for newcomers like me.

firewall
Ashampoo v 1.2, PC Tools Fiewall Plus 3.0.0.36, comodo pro 3 , Jetico filseclab , Online armour and zonealarm
Can i use windows firewall and 3rd party firewall simultaneously ?

2. This is regarding Adware/spyware. I am using Spyware blaster. Can i shift to ad aware 2007 ? which is the best one ? Any better other free or paid spyware/adware in vicinity. Please suggest ?

Open ZoneAlarm. Go to Program Control. Right click on the items to remove it or left click to allow or block the internet access.

ZoneAlarm is still the best firewall for Xp. I use Comodo for Vista.

Btw, you posted in the wrong forum.

for adware protection use the old version of Ad-Aware if you have a slow pc but the new version runs perfectly fine

Comodo Personal Firewall is better than ZoneAlarm Free. For anti-spyware I use Spybot S&D.
KasperSky suite is the best, but you have to pay for it.

Comodo is the best Firewall.
Kaspersky, Avira and NOD32 are the three best anti-virus apps.
Super antispyware is the best ant-spyware.

Good and Best?

I've tried several different firewalls including Zonealarm and comodo.. they are good firewalls but i think its pointless to even bother downloading one when you have a perfectly fine firewall integrated in windows.

zonealarm and comodo do beat windows firewall on its own, however the best setup i feel comfortable with is having Windows Firewall together with a router firewall.

Someone mentioned having 2 firewalls is bad because they will interfere with one another, But as you may already know, a router firewall wont interfere with with anything because your not installing it on your computer.
f
so far ive been running my xp nicely without any problems or almost 2 years.

oh and also, windows firewall barely touches your memory so you got all that power back :)
