I'm going to install the public verion of Vista SP1 RC on my PC.
I've downloaded the latest patched uxtheme.dll, shsvcs.dll and themeui.dll from here: 6.0.6001.17042_XX.rar.

So my question is that, do these patched files work on Vista SP1 RC? I simply can't use Vista without third party visual styles!

about sp1: you must read warning messages by MS before installing
for example an evaluation message will be displayed on your desktop !!
also in my situation, i'd problems with hibernate after installing sp1 !
take care it's only Beta.

What about the visual styles (msstyles)? Is anyone using the visual styles on Vista SP1 RC ?

The latest build is 17128 so you have to use this uxtheme file pack:
