You have to download a registry key that will allow you to install SP1 through Windows Update:
SP1RC_Public_Availability_WURelease.exe


Or you can just download a standalone installer:

Download: Windows Vista SP1 RC - All Language Standalone Package (x86) (x64)

i'd a legal copy of vista but after install sp1, it says it need to activate and the key is invalid???? any help please....

dont use vistaglazz with sp1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
trust me, tried it earlier... and needless to say, im back w/out the service pack... haha
Havnt really had time to see if there is an updated version of vistaglazz, or what files i need to change... so im gonna wait....

is it just me, or can you not stand vista's normal aero interface?

When i installed sp 1 rc i couldnt open Properties of my desktop and Computer, I couldnt open Windows Update/Extras and Control Panel doesnt show any icons. Why do this happen?

---To Uninstall SP1---
If someone have this problem, boot to Failsafe mode and then open Computer > Uninstall a Program > View Update History and look up Service Pack for Microsoft Windows.

i really need help, im trying to update my windows vista to SP1 but i cant...
every time that i use windows update the donwload stuck and says error 7000802 or something like that. i when i use the standalone version i got an error when the bar "finished".
