It’s difficult enough to hear or see the words “Windows Seven” or any variation thereof, much less any detailed information about it, straight from Microsoft but Windows 8?

An incredibly random yet informative preview of some of the current focuses for both Windows 7 and Windows 8 can be found here.

I've never heard about Windows 8. I think people want to know about Vista SP1, not even Windows 7.

After Vista SP1 will be Windows 7 that is suppossed to be a minor release with some new feautures. I would not worry about this yet as is planned for 2010. Also MS is working on IE 8 that is suppossed to come along with Windows 7. I have not heard from Windows 8 yet to early to be talking about that since it might be release by 2012 ...easy does it!! The mainstream support for Vista is suppossed to end by April 10, 2012. XP will end on Apr 14, 2009 and you the extended support by 2014.

By the way MS is workingh on Office 14 already :) (2009 - 2010)

MICROSOFT !

Always with the new versions and updates.

Why can't they just make ONE good product
that doesn't need updating for at least a year?

::cough:: iMac ::cough:: :whistle:

I looooove Vista
I looooove iMac

but I haaaaaaaate having to update and buy new crap
to enjoy my computer every year.

ps. I'm not hating on the CPU, GPU, RAM and any other hardware upgrades.
I actually SEE performance increase when I change those things.

Bill Gates is being really gay with his successful operating system!
hahaha

Yeah, we just need a perfect OS, not a new OS every year.

So when Ubunto upgrades from 7.0.1 to 7.1 what is it? They just do not change the UI is that what you want with windows? To look like it did back in 3.1?

MAC OS jaguar leopard lion whatever is called?

Fedora 7 to fedora 8

By nature software needs to be update and upgraded otherwise you will be complaining all the time...that OS looks the same every year

ahhh

I love my Linux and Vista units

**************************

Who said MS is releasing a new OS next year (besides Windows 2008)? Service Pack is not the same as a new OS .. ???
