The fastest Windows Vista notebook PC World tested this year is a Mac. Not a Dell, not a Toshiba, not even an Alienware. The $2419 (plus the price of a copy of Windows Vista, of course) MacBook Pro's PC WorldBench 6 Beta 2 score of 88 beats Gateway's E-265M by a single point, but the MacBook's score is far more impressive simply because Apple couldn't care less whether you run Windows.

Thanks for the info, but I'd never buy a MacBook to use Windows.

wouldn't apple make more money if they allow OSX to run on PC's? all they have to do is raise the price of OSX a little. there are so many people using PC. I think they would do better selling those than the jacked up prices of their computers. Wouldn't PC's with 2.4-GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB of RAM, Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT video card and a 160GB hard drive run Vista pretty well too? Wouldn't it be cheaper too? sometimes I think Apple is overcharging because of the outer designs, which rocks by the way.

Nice to see Apple beats it again. Although?

Apple MacBook Pro starts at $1999 up to $2799
is that really worth running vista just
a bit faster than a $700 to $1100
Windows based laptop?

Not that I'm saying that I really like LOVE the MacBook Pro
