The cat-and-mouse game between hackers and Apple takes another move, with news that Apple's new Leopard operating system has already been successfully installed on Windows PCs.

The OSx86 Scene forum has released details of how Windows users can migrate to Apple's new OS, without investing in new hardware -- even though installing Leopard on a PC may be counter to Apple's terms and conditions. The forum is offering full instructions on how to install the system, including screenshots of the installation process.

Not all the features of Leopard function with the patch -- Wi-Fi support, for example, is reportedly inoperable.

Here are the things that you will need before Install Leopard on your PC…
# The Patched DVD Image
# The zip file containing the patch
# One pen drive or USB Flash Drive formatted as FAT32

Here are few screenshots by Mac.nub over at the forums who could get Leopard working on his system.

I would think about it, but how about the drivers? And how about the regular Mac OS X Leopard software updates?

Somehow, having Leopard on my desktop computer isn't enough. It's as if the "real" Mac experience requires a genuine Macintosh product!

Most of the stuff doesn't even work. You're better off just installing the theme and modifying Windows.

I agree! If you like the look, then use Leopard inspired themes on Windows, and if you like OSX, then buy a Mac! May be in near future we will be able to use OSX on our PCs, but right now it's useless!

Why would it be pointless? I got 10.4.9 installed here and its working just fine. Just waiting for a AMD patch so i can run the ToH iso on my machine :)

Shame the AMD Tiger won't run on my machine... We need a way to clean-install. >_>

Seems like it works fine to me.

Can't wait to test it out.

Aww man, by the looks of the guide, it's meant to be installed as the only OS. If I could though, I would definitely add it to my triple boot. But at least for now, does this work under Virtual PC or VMware? :)
