Media Player Classic..tried all the others, sooner or later they all didnt play something..Ive yet to come across something mpc didnt play..
i tried Media player classic, VLC and Mplayer
Media player is messy with subtitles (AAS, embeded etc....) when watching anime this thing sux....
VLS is ok with subtitles but i had problems with frame freezing... from times to timez same frames were freezing and were mixing with other frames... WTH?
Mplayer is the best i have seen until far..... i hope nothing goes wrong with it....
but as well... next versions will show how things will be in the future.... none of players are 100% working that's the only sure...

I tried KMPlayer when VLC was giving trouble with MKV files and changing audio tracks. KMPlayer did the job fine.

This. I love because i set controls how I want you can do that in VLC but it don't work for me all the time ;(VLC and BSPlayer both are good, but I prefer GOM Player. It looks better and is easy to customize.
Is there any similar program that can customize controls ?

- Multiple subtitle support (e.g. English top, German bottom)
- Effective equalizer (and further bass/treble controls)
- Neat and skinnable interface
- Video zoom in and out
- Easy sound / subtitle synchronization
- Easy aspect ratio change (from keyboard)
- Instant response to ff / rew / pause (from keyboard)
- Remember the last played position both for video and audio
- Run multiple instances
- And many more which I have never needed.
KMPlayer was sold to a company (Pandora TV) some time ago. They promised to continue KMPlayer as freeware. I hope they do keep their promise. And I believe that they will, because they have already released an update.
By the way, it is "The KMPlayer". There is also a player named "KMPlayer", but I don't think this thread is referring to it.
Seldomly using VLC when;
- KMPlayer cannot open or play (very rare though)
- playing a .ts file with multiple audio/subtitle streams
- need to stream a video to TV
Greetings.
