K-Meleon - fast, customizable, and lightweight. It's based on Mozilla engine.

Maxthon 2, TheWorld and I like AOL Helix. Which AOL Helix is the only browser I use now. I had AOL Radio, Multiple Webpages loaded, IM and Email loaded and it never went over 128MB! Which is pretty impressive :D Just webpages alone I get 178MB+ with IE and Firefox :(

And safari?

Safari is a POS on Windows. He wants one that is lightweight and works, Safari on Windows does neither of the two :P

What about Opera?

It's fast like Firefox but not lightweight.

And safari?

Are you serious? It's slow as hell.

If you like IE, use Maxthon and If your a Firefox fan, go for K-Meleon.

PS: What rendering engine TheWorld Browser uses?

IE is bad most times  .. but why does Firefox slows down the pc ?? I mean , what kind of custmizations do u use ??

U know , u can use the "fasterfox" extension and reduce physical mem. usage , and control the other kind of mem. related optimizations ...

If ur running just Firefox without any extensions .. reply back .. i'd definitely try to do my best ..

Opera is fast AND lightweight. It's also the most secure browser around.

Don't forget that Firefox still has the memory leak bug and it won't be fixed till v3.

On their own, without customization, I greatly prefer Opera. However, my main problem is, I love customization, so I prefer Firefox.

If you look for low memory, I recall Opera as being very low memory. I haven't used K-Meleon in so long, so it would be wrong for me to judge. If you also don't mind a browser with Internet Explorer's rendering engine, I remember that Maxthon has never ever been a memory hog at any point.
