Firefox extensions are nice, but I prefer the real thing.
The theme is nice but it doesn't do what Safari's does.
It's like Vista themes on XP. It has almost the look, but lacks the functionality
and real feel.
Plus! A lot of people will get all those great features without having to search for it.
Not that many people search for extensions for browsers. Some just get online to
check mail and browse what they are looking for. That's why some people prefer
all-in-one clients. Because, let's face it. People are lazy and like things simple.
You can show them Firefox and tell them how great it is, but as soon as you mention
they have to search and get all the extensions they want, they won't like it. They
rather get a browser that comes with it. Even though it only takes a few minutes to
get Firefox extensions.
What I like about Safari is the downloader, addressbar loader (like MSN Explorer), resizable address & search bar, the resizable text fields (which was the first time I saw that), quick options and features it has and the UI graphics and effects.
If you didn't post the extensions to Firefox, I would have never known they existed.
Still, Safari does it better and looks good while doing it to.
