Windows Vista’s successor is codenamed Vienna, formerly codenamed Blackcomb, but it appears that Microsoft is now internally referring to it as Windows Seven. Microsoft's plan is to release Fiji (actually the next version of Windows Media Center) before Windows Seven, much like Windows Media Center 2005 (codename Emerald) was available before Windows Vista.

Windows Media Center roadmap:

Codename | Release Year
Freestyle | 2002
Harmony | 2003
Symphony | 2004
Emerald | 2005
Diamond | 2006 (Media Center release built into Windows Vista)
Fiji | 2007 or 2008 (?)

Leave it up to Windows users to get excited about an OS in 2009[?] Vista was JUST released. Focus on it!
