Enermax, a long-standing leader in the power supply biz, has just launched in Australia a new series of power supplies it dubs the "world's first DX10-ready desktop power suppl[ies]."

Properly cementing it as a true DirectX 10 or Vista PSU, down under, the 650 watt unit will go for for a superbly majestic $260, and the slightly higher 720 watt edition trotting ahead with a princely $295.

I know DX10 will work best in CrossFire of SLI modes, which consume lots of power, but would having DX10 instead of DX9 really use up a lot more power?
