Enable Glass on Home Basic:

Right click on the command prompt and run as admin:

Here's a link to my old thread. (Yes! There are screen shots :) )
http://www.winmatrix...showtopic=11879

Windows Glass is OK, but this is better.
http://wincustomize....=...libid=1&p=4

Paid $4.95 and it has my Vista Home Basic looking great :)

WindowBlinds on Vista is 10 times better than the XP version.

I think I gave up on Vista too soon the first time. This second time around, after some updates and programs made compatible with Vista, it's starting to win me over.

Also, when you get WindowBlinds 5.5 it unlocks Glass (or Aero depending on your hardware) for you and it gives you transparency on Vista Home Basic. People wanting Glass after the tweak have to wait on a skinner to make one. I think Microsoft should give StarDock permission to re-create Aero Glass the right way, so it won't slow down PCs.

It's worth the $19.99 :)

Check my signature screen shot of Home Basic.

Microsoft's Aero Glass you probably won't get in Home Basic. You get Aero, not Aero Glass(meaning with transparency). I'm sure a skinner will make one soon. To tell the truth I don't care cause I'm already starting to get bored with it. Time for something new. I'll post a link to skin that Aero lovers will like.

Go here to get Vista themes XP users

Is there any way I can get AT LEAST Vista Standard (Aero) with an unsupported card? I don't really care about Glass right now, but since my card is unsupported, I'm stuck with Vista Basic skin, which looks terrible!

Dude! Get Windowblinds at http://www.wincustomize.com you can use the trial and later pay $19.99 for it.
