I'm completely broke at the moment, and right now I'm trying to save up for a new graphics card, but when I get the cash for it, I'll be sure to try that.
Thanks. :)

And thanks again for all that help on the other thread I made, we tried everything, LOL. :lol:

fellows I hooked up with the problem...! Long note this is :D
Now at start I installed feisty on my 6600 which got dead in some months..! I was using feisty n beryl n enjoying things with linux..! but then as my 6600 gone to sea so I needed to use my integrated ATI Radeon 200 which I know it wont start my Xserver when I boot so left linux at back n was with windows.
But I couldn stop my hands from getting onto linux so i jumped into feisty two days ago n as expected Xorg broken. After all the pain and rewriting the config on my own everything worked well. But neither beryl nor avant worked so I cleaned them up n tried to shift to xgl to make beryl work but that didn work either.
And now i'm on feisty but my restricted drivers doesn work as a result no eyecandy stuff which makes me cry . :lol:. Guess I got to wait for my new card. :angry:

One thing about Beryl and Emerald, it doesn't change everything around like WindowBlinds and Visual Styles on Windows. You have to manually change some parts of the GUI. Like panels, you have to change the design within it's properties by giving it a picture background.

To change the log on screen, you have to download one or make one yourself and add it in the "Login Window" from the "Local Tab".

Here's one of mine -> http://www.winmatrix...showtopic=13129

Microsoft and their 3rd party companies have really spoiled users by doing everything for them. So when they move to Linux, it's sometimes hard to cope with. It's going to take sometime for Linux to catch up with Microsoft on user friendliness and productive software <-(One of the main reasons I've left Linux alone, so I can finish my work).

Congrats :)

Yeah. You have to create a transparent png file. If you find a toolbar you like and it's not transparent, use GIMP to make it transparent, save it as a png file and use it as the Panel's background. Also, if you want basic colors, Ubuntu has a built in control for that's in the panel properties that allows you to select a color and make it transparent.

Yea Linux ain't that much user friendly but I am getting the hang of it.
One thing I hate is GIMP, it is so hard to switch from Photoshop...

True, but once you learn it, you will find some features easier to get to than Photoshop. Photoshop is still better though.

When I do that, and I put a window under it, I don't see it. It's not true transparency... :(
