I have observed many people who ask for download link of Y'z apps.
The development of Y'z Dock has been stopped by Apple and posting the link of Y'z Dock is illegal but Apple does not have any objections on Y'z Toolbar and Y'z Shadow.

There fore I'm providing the links for Y'z Tolbar and Y'z Shadow here.
And for those who don't know about these cool apps, read the description.

------------------------------------------

Y'z Toolbar
Author :: M.Yamaguchi
Y'z ToolBar allows the user to change the toolbar icons in Explorer and Internet Explorer.
The user can also create and add their own themes.

Features
  • Change the toolbar icons in Explorer and IE.
  • It can use 17x17 pixels to 64x64 pixels as the icon image sizes for the toobar themes.
  • Use either bmp and png for the icon image files to create the toolbars. Using the png file format allows for alpha blending, the user has the ability to create smooth icon toolbar images with drop shadows and without jaggy edges.
  • It does not rewrite any Windows system files.
  • Access Y'z ToolBar by right-clicking the toolbar in Explorer or IE and choosing it from the toolbar customizing pop-up menu.
  • Makes it possible to hide the Windows flag (throbber)in Explorer or in IE's toolbar.
  • Available in different languages (Japanese and English).

Y'z Shadow
Author :: M.Yamaguchi
Y'z Shadow adds a shadow effect to the windows in pursuit of the "beauty of a shadow".
It also allows the user the option of making menus transparent.

Features
  • Attaches a drop shadow to the windows.
  • Makes it possible to select one type of shadow effect in the active window and a different one in the inactive window.
  • The user can choose to have transparent menus. There is also the option of selecting the degree of transparency in the menus.
  • Add a drop shadow to the menus.
  • Add a drop shadow to the taskbar.
  • The width, depth, etc. of the drop shadows can all be set to your liking in the settings dialog.
  • It works correctly with either WindowsXP styles or classic style.
  • The user can specify application windows that you wish to exclude from having the drop shadow effect.
  • The user can choose a setting that will automatically adjust your windows so they do not overlap or interfere with the taskbar.
  • Available in different languages (Japanese and English).

Have enjoyment :)

The development of Y'z Dock has been stopped by Apple there fore posting the link of Y'z Dock is illigal.

The author of Y'z Dock - M.Yamaguchi was contacted by Apple with a Cease & Desist Order for creating a program which perfectly emulates the Dock in Apple's OSX, as Apple own intellectual rights to the Dock created for OSX - M.Yamaguchi requested people not to distribute Y'z Dock anymore via the web

But there are still many websites from where you can download this app so go google it ;)

By the way, following up this thread:

I doubt he was contacted by Apple. Though the software appeared like Mac OS X's Dock, there has been for quite some time very similar technology in Unix on X11 (I expect that is where they got the idea, example of a more techie type dock built into a window manager: xfce.org).

I've been using Object Dock for awhile, just for giggles. I found it pretty and makes it feel a bit more macish... When trying Y'z's bar here, I noticed a similar feel to the way you configure it, and the menu's are laid out.. all quite similar to Object Dock.

Object Desktop also has now shadowing.

I personally believe he sold off his work to them. He asked the communities to stop providing his older work, people will later find Object Dock.

Even the way for selecting the icon is very similar.

My belief at least. Unless someone has the real document at hand?

Y'z is definitely superior in my opinion. although the shadow app slows down considerably my latop (centrino 1.3), maybe it is because i use windowblinds. the option 'diacble drop shadow when moving or resizing windows' also does not seem to work on my machine for some reason..

but anyway, I was wondering if it was possible to add the running tasks in the Y's dock? and maybe even the task bar? (dockets?)

"seeing" the minimized windows in y'z dock should be mandatory I think! How r u you guys be able to work without this feature?

I use IE7 and have found that none of the programs for changing the icons work. Is Yz compatible?
