i use Panda Antivirus Platinum, which also offers a great firewall system, with a program called XoftSpy to defend against spyware. both run great and coincedentally offer integration features with one another.

i'm curious about Nod32 though. does anyone know of a website where i could learn more about it ? thanks.

Many people don't like Norton simply because it is a resource hog. I know when I tried it, it promptly slowed my computer to a crawl. I uninstalled it immediately.

However I have heard good things about SAV, (Symantec Anti-Virus) It's the corporate version of NAV, without the bloat.

I'm currently trialing Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal, very good av.

DSLReports Security Forum AV Poll 05

I recommend a look through this, it gives a good overview on AV's.

i just use the Zonealarm Security Suite, it has a really good firewall and so that it self prevents viruses from getting in, and also it goes easy on the memory... :)
