Nvidia will unveil the world's first DirectX10 GPU, codenamed 'G80' but expected to ship as the GeForce 8800, in the middle of this coming November, it has been claimed.
DirectX 10 is due to ship sometime next year, probably after Windows Vista hits store shelves and new PCs. Games that use the new technology are likely to be even further off.

I read on Wikipedia that DX 10 will be released along with Vista.

DirectX 10.0 New version of DirectX which is only available with Windows Vista.

Microsoft is currently working on a large update to the Direct3D API. Originally called Windows Graphics Foundation, DirectX 10, and later DirectX Next, but currently referred to as Direct3D 10, it will appear as part of Windows Vista.

Vista will be released with itself? Sorry that was just weird.

Will this DirectX 10 card work with DirectX 9 also?
Imagine if you buy this card but still you have to use Windows XP for a particular game...

Expensive AND BUGGY!

Theres bound to be many problems with it, i wont get one until im statisfied with Vista and when i really need to play upcoming games

Such as Crysis: 1GB DX9 Grahpics wont be nothing compared to even 512MB DX10
