If you want to install Vista, to activate the Aero graphic user interface (GUI) you need a card that supports Pixel Shading 2.0 at a minimum. If you don't have that, Vista defaults to the Basic GUI with no transparency effects. PCI cards as a rule are old technology and don't support the latest games. You might be better off buying a new motherboard that supports your processor and has an AGP slot. AGP is old technology at this point also but you can get a much better GPU for cheap money that will handle most games. Having said all that, you could try looking at a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 PCI or better. It supports the Aero GUI in Vista. A good place to start looking is www.newegg.com.

Hope this helps, happy hunting.
