Windows Phone 8.1 brings voice-controlled assistant Cortana

Firefox 28 Final Released, Metro Version Dropped
firefox.pngFirefox 28 for desktop and mobile now support VP9 decoding and has Opus support in WebM power media playback in HTML5. The desktop version of the browser also gets a new volume control for HTML5 audio and video. Mozilla decided to pull the Windows 8 Metro mode because only about a 1,000 users were using it per day.

Facebook shutting down Messenger for Windows

xp.pngIn December 2013, Windows XP had a 28.98 percent market share, but in January 2014, the share rose to 29.23 percent. Windows 7's market share dropped from 47.52 percent to 47.49 percent.
