Microsoft's leaked Scroogled video targets Google Chrome
scroogled.pngA video has been uploaded on YouTube that is believed to be created by Microsoft which shows that the company may target Chrome in next phase of its Scroogled campaign. Google CEO Larry Page spoke out about competition and negativity in the tech industry at Google I/O. On the same day, this new video leaked on the web poking fun at Google Chrome's "Now Everywhere" commercial.

Google offers 15 GB of free cloud storage!
google.pngGoogle account users will now receive a combined storage of 15 GB for Gmail, Google+ Photos and Google Drive services. Previously, Google offered 10 GB for Gmail and 5 GB for Google+ Photos and Google Drive combined. This offering somewhat exceeds the 7 GB of free storage that Microsoft provides to SkyDrive users. But Microsoft doesn't have any storage limit for its Outlook.com email service.

Windows 8 Hits 100 Million Sales
win8.pngTami Reller, CMO, and CFO of Microsoft has announced today that Windows 8 has sold 100 million licences! This number includes Windows licenses that ship on a new tablet or PC, as well as upgrades to Windows 8. This is up from the 60 million license number Microsoft provided in January.

Steam: Windows 8 64-bit is the 3rd most popular OS
steam.pngOnly 3.84% of total PC users worldwide are using Windows 8 according to Net Applications but Windows 8 is becoming a much more popular operating system amongst PC gamers, as it has reached a market share of 11.65% according to Steam Hardware survey. Windows 7 64-bit is still at the top with 54.18%, followed by the 32-bit version with 13.39%.

OneNote app for Windows 8 supports finger drawing

Windows 8.1 to bring back the Start Button
Win8.pngMicrosoft killed the Start Button with Windows 8. Now it's going to revive it back with the release of Windows 8.1. But there won't be the traditional Start Menu, instead clicking on the button will simply launch the Start Screen. The button will look similar to the existing Windows flag used in the Charm bar. It's also a possibility that Microsoft will add an option to allow users to boot directly to the desktop mode.

The build has a new feature called Kiosk mode that allows for the system to be locked down to a single app which is launched automatically when the system logs on. The desktop app isn't listed when selecting an app for Kiosk Mode, hopefully it shows up in future builds.
